Under the motto “Unleashing Fashion Creativity – Connecting Cultures”, Fashion Park Lviv appeared in Germany for the first time. As part of Berlin Fashion Week, visitors had the opportunity to explore the expressive power of Ukrainian fashion in a dedicated showroom and interact with the creative community.

On January 31 and February 1, seven outstanding Ukrainian designers presented their AW25 and ready-to-wear collections at Torstraße 101 in Berlin-Mitte. The event was organized by the Western Ukrainian Fashion Industry Cluster (WUFIC), an initiative aimed at strengthening Ukrainian fashion and bringing it to the global stage.

Deutsch Fashion team talked to one of the organizers and fashion diplomat Anna Varava about the main mission of Fashion Park Lviv in Berlin.

From Vision to Brand

The West Ukrainian Fashion Industry Cluster (WUFIC) launched the Fashion Park Lviv project in 2021 with support from the EU4Business international cooperation program, co-financed by the European Union and the German government and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. What began as a project has evolved into a vibrant brand and platform for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the fashion industry. Today, Fashion Park Lviv enhances the global visibility of Ukrainian fashion, facilitates international collaborations, and builds a robust network of global partners.

The goal of the project is to support the expansion of SMEs from the West Ukrainian Fashion Industry Cluster into the European market and strengthen the cluster’s position by establishing partnerships with German fashion associations and fostering high-quality, long-term interactions. This will promote the internationalization of the Ukrainian fashion industry within the EU and enhance the reputation of the “Made in Ukraine” brand on the global stage.

Ukrainian fashion is a unique blend of cultural heritage, modern innovation, and sustainable design,” explains Ana Varava, Fashion Business Consultant and WUFIC spokesperson. “It symbolizes the creativity and resilience of our people.”

Waridi Schrobsdorff-Pabst, renowned fashion expert and lead mentor, is also excited about her collaboration with Ukrainian designers. This partnership is part of her ongoing commitment to fostering creative talent worldwide. With her extensive experience working with African designers, Waridi has played a key role in developing, supporting, and guiding emerging creatives to establish a strong international presence. She is now expanding this mission to support Ukrainian designers, helping them navigate the international fashion industry – particularly during Berlin Fashion Week and within the German market.

Ukrainian Fashion on the Global Stage

Berlin Fashion Week offers a platform to showcase the synergy between tradition and innovation to an international audience. For the first time, WUFIC is hosting a dedicated showroom over two days to present the identity and contemporary status of diverse Ukrainian designs, foster international partnerships, and address sustainability and cultural preservation.

Alongside innovative collections featuring architectural cuts and intricate details, collaborative projects merging fashion and art will also be showcased. At the heart of all Fashion Park Lviv brands is environmentally conscious design, including upcycling and handmade artistry.

Fashion Park Lviv underscores the message: Ukrainian fashion inspires and connects cultural achievements. This debut event at Berlin Fashion Week is not only a celebration of creativity but also a powerful statement of resilience and global ambition.
